Katie & Tyson {Portland Engagement Photographer - International Rose Test Gardens}

Katie & Tyson met me at the the Portland International Rose Test Gardens for their engagement session.
Founded in 1917, Portland’s International Rose Test Garden is the oldest official, continuously operated public rose test garden in the United States. In the beginning, even though World War I was raging in Europe, hybridists sent roses from around the world to Portland’s garden for testing and to keep the new hybrids safe from being destroyed by the bombing in Europe.
What a cool place! The weather was not looking so good for this evening. About 3:30 in the afternoon the rain started to come down. Come on, its July!! There is not supposed to be rain in July. Before the session began however, the clouds parted and the sun came out! We had a great time walking around the park and were especially pleased that the roses were in full bloom!

After the Rose Gardens we headed over to the east side of the Willamette to finish the engagement session near OMSI. So despite the somewhat poor weather we've been having lately, Katie, Tyson and I had a great engagement photo session! Thanks guys! I can't wait for your wedding at the Columbia Gorge Hotel in October!

Adams Family {Jenkins Estate Family Photographer}

Billy & I have been friends since college. We both went to OSU and studied together ALL the time. We've remained friends and now our families are friends. They have a cute little boy who is just a few months younger than our son.

Rebecca suggested that we do this family session at Jenkins Estate in Beaverton. I have to say, Jenkins Estate is an awesome place. I don't think we even explored half of the place. Their son did a great job and was in a good mood the whole time. He always wants to be up and walking. What a fun time at the park!
